NEW YORK (CNN) - Men who used to be able to take the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis over the counter may now get the help they need to maintain their erection. A new study from the National Institutes of Health says that the medication can help men with erectile dysfunction get and keep a longer lasting erection.

The drug is known to cause sexual dysfunction in some men. The drug was originally approved for the treatment of ED in 2003, but when the drug was discovered in 2004, the FDA was requiring a stronger dose. Cialis is a long-acting PDE5 inhibitor. In men, the drug works by allowing the blood vessels in the penis to dilate, making it easier for blood to enter the penis, and allowing more blood to flow into it.

When it comes to treating ED, the drug is only available in an oral form. It's not available in a pill. The most common side effects of the drug include headache, upset stomach, and muscle aches. It's important for men who have been taking the drug to talk to their doctor about their symptoms. There are also some men who need to take the drug to have an erection after sex, so that it doesn't become too painful.

"This is a real treatable condition, but it's not something that should be ignored," said Dr. James F. O'Connor, MD, an urology professor at Harvard Medical School.

The drug works by allowing the blood vessels in the penis to dilate and allow more blood to flow into the penis. This makes it easier for blood to enter the penis and to the penis. By increasing the flow of blood, the medication helps to relax the muscles and arteries in the penis, which in turn helps to keep an erection long enough for sex.

The study also found that Cialis could improve erectile function in men who had been taking the drug for a while. This makes it easier for men to get and keep an erection when they want one. Men who are taking the drug can get an erection for up to four hours. For some, however, it can take up to a week for the erection to get better. The study found that men who used the drug could achieve an erection more quickly. Men who took Cialis had an average of five times the time they did when they were taking a daily pill.

The most common side effect of the drug is headache, which is a common side effect of the medication. Other side effects include back pain and muscle aches, but the most common side effect is a headache that is usually mild and can be mild or moderate. Men who take the drug for a few weeks or months may have a more prolonged erection.

If your doctor has prescribed Cialis, the best thing to do for you is talk to your doctor. They may recommend that you take a lower dose of the drug or that you take Cialis as directed by your doctor. You could also try a higher dose if you have trouble swallowing pills. These are some ways to keep a long-lasting erection. If you have a headache, your doctor may also recommend taking a headache pill, such as a Cialis 5mg pill, that is taken 30 minutes to an hour before sex. The headache medicine also may help to relax the muscles and arteries of the penis. This can help to keep your erection for longer periods.

"It's important for men to be aware of the potential side effects that may accompany Cialis," said Dr. O'Connor. "If they're not improving their ability to have an erection, they're not having a good time."

In this article, we'll answer questions about what the drug does, how it works, and why it might help men who have ED. You can also find out more about the study and other related research at.

In the study, men who took Cialis were able to get and keep an erection longer and more easily. Cialis works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which means it helps relax blood vessels. The study also found that men who took the drug did not experience any problems, or side effects, with their erections. They were able to get and keep an erection when they took Cialis.

If you have questions about Cialis or the drug, talk to your doctor. They may be able to help you determine if the drug might be right for you.

Tell them about any and all medications, prescription drugs, and supplements you are taking before starting treatment with Cialis. Cialis can interact with bodily substances, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.

As with most medications, this medication can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. This is a dangerous side effect which can lead to serious health problems. If you experience this side effect, call your doctor, aroused or uncomfortable, if you have any questions, and quick.

In addition, let your doctor know if you are taking aspirin for heart attack or stroke, if you are taking medications which can increase the risk of side effects, if you are taking nitrates before sex, and if you have thoughts about hurting yourself or others if you faint during sex.

If you experience this side effect, discontinue Cialis and inform your doctor. If you experience any side effects which are not listed above, contact your doctor.

As with any drug product, there may be side effects. Generally, patients who experience side effects usually get them within 12 to 24 hours after taking Tadalafil. Side effects usually resolve on their own within 48 hours. Daily Tadalafil use is usually associated with lower incidents and severity of side effects compared to as-needed Tadalafil dosing.

Most common Tadalafil side effects

  • Headache
  • Indigestion
  • Back pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Flushing
  • Stuffy nose

Some more serious side effects have been reported. While rare, it is important to stop taking Tadalafil and contact a doctor right away if any of the following occur:

  • An erection will not go away (priapism). If you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours, get medical help right away. If not treated right away, priapism can permanently damage the penis.
  • Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. Sudden vision loss can be a sign of a serious eye problem called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropath (NAION).
  • Sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss. Some may also have ringing in the ears (tinnitus) or dizziness.

Possible drug interactions

Some drugs/medications may interact with Tadalafil. You should not take Tadalafil if you are taking nitrates (such as nitroglycerin tablets or patches) because the combination of these with Tadalafil could significantly lower blood pressure and lead to fainting or even death. Additionally, do not take Tadalafil if you are taking Cisapride, other ED medications (e.g. Viagra), Adcirca, or Riociguat.

On your intake form, please be sure to provide AgelessRx with all medications, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements you use. Also be sure to report if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs, as some may interact with your medication.

Other important safety information

Patients who have a condition called “left ventricular outlet obstruction” from valvular problems or heart muscle enlargement may get side effects such as fainting or light-headedness. Because patients with recent heart attacks or stroke, heart pains (angina), heart failure, uncontrolled blood pressure or uncontrolled irregular heart beats, severe liver disease, and retinal eye problems have not been studied, Tadalafil (Cialis) is not recommended for these patients. There may be rare occurrences of priapism or painful, prolonged erections. This is a serious condition that requires immediate medical attention. Patients should seek prompt medical attention if their erection lasts longer than four hours.

After taking a single tablet, Tadalafil can remain in the body for up to two days. It can remain longer if patients have problems with their kidneys or liver, or they are taking certain other medications.
